After a long morning of cleaning and working around the house I found our traveler hammock, since the weather is going to be nice over the next few days we hung it up next to the front porch. Hayden is in love.

Today was our first ultrasound for the new baby.  It was an early one because of our last attempt, the technician said so far things look ok.  We have another ultrasound scheduled in a month which will be a more definitive exam and rule out what happened last time.  But for today…no news is good news!

Weekend on the beach

This weekend we took advantage of our great weather and took a short break from getting ready for the baby to spend some time with friends on the beach.  We had a great time, easy lunch and lots of fun.  The kids really soaked up the fun.  Here are some good pictures (stolen from Tanya and Tabitha).

Lessons of a new baby: We collect too much stuff

Since the planning of our new baby started a few months ago we have already been thinking of how certain things are going to work out. One of those is my office is no longer going to take up the extra bedroom.  Because we weren’t advertising our plan for the first few months I was unable to go through and start getting ready till now.  The last few days I have been tearing down my office to get ready to transform it into a baby room.

I quickly learned the first lesson of having a new baby again.  We have collected WAY too much stuff…
